Ok im coming to the point of view it may be all a lot cheaper and easier with dscustom's......

£480 + vat would be far out of budget i was reallly hoping to get something for 250......and not have to settle with composite. Im obviously dreaming.......

Yep, I agree. Was looking to use digitalww, and get one from Armin, but he doesn't seem to have them listed now.

Calibre UK got back to me, they wanted £800 for a 1.4" with controller/inverter/backlight and cables + £200 for a USB touchscreen.

Had to say no.
He gave me the webaddress of http://www.bluestonetechnology.co.uk...ta%20sheet.htm

they look intresting excluding the website which they obviously paid students at secondary school to do as there final project..

They have a look of custom jobbers which means expensive i think........

I do like the look of the machined one....though all sealed and everything..

The *enarc (those who must not be named) style 7" VGA+USB Touch models. Looked on the site to check a price, but couldn't find them listed under VGA monitors since your revamp.

I mailed you awhile ago about shipping touch a touch panel to the UK. I've decided that my cludgy STN composcreen just doesn't cut it, especially when the Matrox card doesn't support the bios/boot screens from TVout, so if it goes into safe mode, I'm screwed unless I lug a monitor out to the car. If the price is right, I want a screen that can do 800x600.

These are the insides from Xenarc monitor and it is perfect if you're doing a custom install.

Also take a look at the new 7" VGA + Video + Audio LCD (TM-710)

http://www.digitalww.com/VGA_TM_710VG.htm

It looks to be very promising... I just got them this morning and was able to play with them for a little. It has 1x VGA input, 2x Composite inputs and 1x Audio input. Seems like it has all the options of the Xenarc and more. I will try to have a little review out this week.

Blop: Yep, looks good for a custom install, but living in the crime ridden streets of the Northwest of England, a full removable screen is a better option. I can strip it an build it in later.

Armin: Wow. I only looked earlier, and they were still "coming soon". How does the picture quality/angle of view etc compare to the gain screens What resolution was your test screen taken at, because it looks a little fuzzy, any chance when you get the time, you can do different shots at different resolutions.

That isn't a touch monitor is it? Would you be able to take Paypal for that amount? I do have an international verified account. Just out of interest, how much extra would a touch kit, fully fitted to that screen add to the cost?

I know, lots of questions. Most of them stupid

Have a look at www.displaze.com
