DigitalWWW TM-710VG vs. Xenarc 700YYV

http://www.digitalww.com/VGA_TM_710VG.htm

Both are 7" VGA monitors with 800x480 ratio (widescreen). The DigitalWW one has 400cd/m2 while the Xenarc is only 250cd/m2 (less bright).

The Xenarc has Touchscreen options, does the DigitalWW?

The DigitalWW casing is slightly smaller than the Xenarc, so is it still 7" viewable?

DigitalWW VGA TM-710VG 7"

Xenarc VGA 700YYV 7"

How? This one is $325, the DSCustoms one is $430. Granted, the extra $105 may be what a touchscreen runs...

Cool thing is, the DigitalWW screen is slightly smaller in size, making it easier to work with in custom fabrication setups.

Well I'm waiting for Armen to email me back (2 days now) to tell me if I can get touchscreen on that screen. I wouldn't see why it wouldn't fit.. *shrug*

Resistive touchscreen doesn't have good optical clarity so the brightness of the LCD would decrease 20% to 50%. Spec. on the two lcd panels look the same to me.

I don't think that is entirely true. Those touchscreens are completely clear 1/8" thick glass. I've seen them before. They don't dim the screen much at all.

Having anything infront of a LCD panel would decrease its brightness, even if it's just a clear piece glass. You can tell the difference by looking at the picture posted by digitalww:
