A dilemma with DS700YYV

Im about to purchase one from DSCustoms I do beleive. However, down the road I will be adding an LCD in each headrest. Is there anyway to emulate what is on the DSC screen on the headrest LCDs? Like if I popped in a DVD, i want it to show on the headrests as well as the computer screen. Any ideas?

if your mobo supports composite out you won't have any probs

if you have a seperate dvd unit you won't have any probs either as the screen comes with two video inputs

Huh? Im going to have a DVD drive on my computer. Lets say I pop in a movie, I want it to play on the headrest LCDs. But I dont want like my desktop and stuff to show up when im not running a movie. Basically i want to be able to select when each headrest LCD is on, but I want them to emulate the computer. Would I just wire that in with as an external monitor, and then switch it over? How? Thanks!

the vga screen would be off of the standard vga

the headrests will be composite, so as long as you have composite out it will show whatever your vga screen shows

If you just wanted the rear headrests to display DVD, and ONLY DVD, then you might want to look at one of the old pass through MPEG2 decoder cards as a lot of these had composite out on them.

I know that there is also an evolution of this idea in this card which could do much the same although will play some DiVX content as well. Again it is a pass through card.

What about if I just get a video card that has a video out port, and then run that to the two headrest with a RCA splitter. Would that work?

I spent about $40 on ebay for a VGA-TV converter, works great, to my surprise.
