Does anyone know what type/name of the mounting slot on the back of the DS700YYV monitor?

When i bought the monitor i thought it would come with something that connected to it, but this other thing came with it that connects to the bottom of it, sort of a stand. I cant really think of anywhere to use it with the stand in my car though so i need something to connect to the back of it.

Does DSCUSTOMS or DIGITALWW sell anything that will connect to the back of this monitor?

I found this thing from a link on another post here, but i dont know if this will work with my monitor. I looks like it will, but online anything can look like it will work.

How did any of you mount your DS700YYV besides a flush mount?? I plan on doing a flush mount in the future, i have to first gather up enough info on how to do it. But untill then, i need to get this thing in my car. I already have ALL the parts i need to put my computer in my car, even got a buncho f the wires all ready wired up and tucked out of sight. I just need somewhere to put the dang monitor. The suspence is driveing me crazy. lol

The RAM mount they call the Diamond base on this site can be used. All you have to do is find a couple of bolts that will fit the holes with nuts or bolt heads that will fit the slot. I have one on my Xenarc. You'll have to get the other parts of the system - another base of some sort and one of the other pieces (can't remember what they call them) that clamps onto the two base pieces to form the ball-and-socket system.

Of course, you can make your own bracket out of a piece of metal, find suitable bolts, and drill a couple of holes in the bracket about 2" apart.

Another option is to get one of the RAM camera mounts. The threaded hole in the bottom of the Xenarc is the same size (1/4-20 I think) as used for camera tripods.

Note that I have the bolt heads in the slot and the nuts on the outside. Otherwise you've got to be careful on the bolt length or you might crack the case of the display.

OK, i think i've got it.

I managed last night to find a nice spot to mount the screen using the included base that comes with it. I dont want to screw the base into the monitor from the bottom hole though.
I bent the metal foot of the base to make a U shape out of it so it fits flat on my air vents and inbetween the seams just like this thing

Can i use the included base to somehow connect it to the back of the monitor??? I figure i should be able to make something like in my first post but only using the included base. We'll see. Time for a trip to home depot on my way home from work.

I used the base that came with my xenarc display, I went to home depot bought a nut that fits the screw on the base used a dremel and cut the nut in half which slides perfectly up the back of the display. So it sits right on my dash instead of 2 inches above it.

Yes, this is what i plan to do. Why did you cut the nut? Were there not any that just fit? I dont plan on cutting a nut in half, how long did that take??

I tried alot of them and for that thread size eveything was too thick, took me like 10 minutes with a dremel, I imagine you could use a file might take a little longer but shouldnt be bad
