high pitch coming from TFT LCD

Hey all,
I have 7.2 Pyle tft LCD (PLWHR7)

Right now im just running a dvd/mp3 player to LCD.

The lcd is wired to the battery with an inline fuse
and the dvd player is connected to cig. lighter.

Waiting for the fm modulator, but wanted everthing else installed.

OK, to the main issue... as the title says, I'm getting a high pitch coming from the screen that seems to match with my RPMS, the higher they go the higher the pitch, then i shift and RPMS go down as well as the annoying noise, then right back up again.

any suggestions would be great. Do i need to add somthing else between the fuse and lcd?

-Rob

Your problem is ground loop noise.

Disconnect that DVD player from the cig lighter. Get a desent size wire atleast 4AWG and a distributor. Connect it to the battery and tap off this wire for all the 12v necessities.

Find a better grounding spot. Ground all components to the same ground.

Thank you for your immediate response.

I'll have to get to it this weekend, as school is keeping me from working on this. One other question: How would you suggest grounding the DVD player? Take out a screw, wrap some wire around it, then find bare metal?

thanks again.
