VGA LCD Monitors Vs. Standard LCD Monitors

Hi,
I'm still researching on what to buy to build my Carputer, and I would like to know if it really makes a difference to get a VGA LCD Monitor (like the DWW-7VGA from Digital World Wide) or a Standard one (like the TM-701L also offered by DWW). I am willing to use my carputer for MP3 playback and also for GPS.

I know VGA gives me higher resolution, but is it worth paying a couple of hundreds more for it?

Thanks for your time!

P.S. How do I customize my Avatar (the icon next to my nickname on my posts); just wondering....

Ok, I figured out that Avatar was disabled when I first tried to customize mine, so I checked back and now I have my own Avatar!

Anyway, this thread was about LCD monitors

YES, you will actually be able to read the text if you get the VGA, composite isn't the clearest , especially with GPS

Yes, it does make a LOT of difference, and is well worth it. If you've ever used TV-Out on a standard TV, you will know that the text is barely visible.

Get it right first time, get a VGA LCD, you won't regret it
