mikekniner,
I have tried the monitor on at least four computers, including IBM thinkpad, my desktop using Geforce, and my mini pc (EZ go+). All are fine without any problems. I have also try having both VGA and Videos input on and toggle the sources with the remote and things work OK. The only hiccup I had was when I change the monitor's resolution, the image cannot be syn. and I have to turn power off and on or change the video input.

Yours might be a defective one and it's better to have a change.

heya men, well ive got some good news and some bad for yas all, firstly id like to start off with the last post being the 40pounds on the duty fee, wow that is alot, here in spain i paid 30euro's for duties wich isnt too bad but still i recon we shouldnt have to pay them, ok now to the juicy stuff.

The good news is i fixed mine, i now have red in vga, it wasnt the cable it was the pcb where the red wire goes in on the back the pcb wasnt etched corectly and the red was shorting to the ground, so a small trimming knife to separate the ground to the red and presto i have all of my colouring perfect, i also now have no trouble whats so ever and i did take a risk on the warranty but i figured with shipping charges to send it back, and the risk of paying another duty fee i might aswell have a look and see what the deal is myself, so anyway that was that, i know this unit very well inside and out now so if anyone has trouble with the colouring of the vga let me know cos i have all of the wire colour codes, what colours go to what pins on the vga conector and also how to fix various other problems such as the front buttons not working corectly, but i warn you this is at your own risk, as soon as u break your warranty seal and u dont get warranty dont blame me, also if u screw it up, but i tell u now this unit is fairly strong as in the chips being resilient to high voltage over loading and is rather simple to fix. how bright is this screen? i say hell bright, this is the clearest, whitest, and most colourfull lcd ive seen in this size and i think for the price of $228 it is a bargan, im happy with it thats for sure, and ill just quickly remind u that mine is the non touch screen version so my screen may look abit different than a touch screen model.

Bad news, the bad news is that more than likley mine is not the only one out there with this problem, it is obvious that some one is either colour blind or blind in looking for faults on the pcb at the manufacturing plant, this is a simple hick up and as u know how things run in batches its obvious there will be more out there that will not have the red channel working, either way its lilliputs quality control, the problems arent serious, personally most of these things u can fix yourself but as i say if u fix they wont as u loose warranty, another disapointing factor is i asked ray 3 days ago about warranty and for an exchange, i havnt got an email back yet so that i am not happy about, not that i need to claim warranty now but still that i think its a ****ty service. Another thing i saw is realy funny is how he says we are out of stock of the touch screens and yet he still has them up on ebay for sale, as others mentioned in here, realy he should stop the ebay add and let things catch up abit and let others waiting to get their screens, he thought mine was a touch screen until i emailed him and asked wtf is going on. Im going to say this and say it once but i will not be held to this, this isnt a scam for those who are worried just a balls up in service where the guys sushi is more important than your delivery, we all just have to wait and keep emailing him to get through that u are ****ed about the wait, as for the vga sound i think you could get sound through the vga, there is a setting where u can turn the sound off and on in vga mode, it comes under misc settings and u can save them so that when u go to vga the audio will be on and say in video off ect i dont have a source with the conector on the unit for the sound while im in vga close enough but ill see what i can do and get back to u guys on that, also i wouldnt worry about the speaker in this thing as its not amplified, thats a reason why mikkiners runs so hot , with out an internal amp the chip takes all of the load with produces heat, the chip says up your's im too hot and then plays up, when the thing cools its back to normal, i dont use the audio so i dont have any problem with it but i thought id just mention that as i had a peek last night when i fixed my vga red channel.

Anyway guys hope this helps, this realy is a good screen minus a few hick ups that a couple of us have said, its obvious nothing is perfect and things do fail, even people in my case where their eyes are screwed lol but either way id say go for it and make the splash, u cant find a better buy.

Trev
P.S i bought my screen from ebay

I'm going to give you guys with the screen a heads up. I have the Panasonic AE100 LCD projector. I know it's not the same but it also has an internal speaker on it. Whenever I turn the sound on on the speaker, the projector overheats. It happens every time. It obviously is producing more of a load so I want to warn you guys that using these internal speakers probably isn't the best idea. Good luck. Keep the reviews coming. Very excited about this thing.

Heya Tom sounds like its the same deal in your projector, i had another crappy reso lcd screen not so long ago and that audio was amplified, infact it went realy loud, a small mod for your prjector could be making a small pre-amp just for the speaker so it takes the load off of the processing chip.

No I have not tried them, but they don't carry the Lilliput VGA screen...just the TV/LCD which is not usable for car computers.
