I telephoned the guy in Hong Kong today and he said he could get me one LCD with touch screen tomorrow. I don't know if he really can do what he promised as I have received the same email most of you've got. Will let you know the outcome about 12 hours later.

Manually add the extra $$ to the shipping costs and provide details in the comments section.

This is from their email.

For PayPal buyers: If you want to add extra items/ upgrades to your purchase, simply add the additional amount to the shipping fee as long as the total comes to the right sum. Please include a note stating the products you are buying to avoid any misunderstanding.....

PLEASE READ BEFORE PROCEED WITH THE PAYMENT!!

**** In any case, it is NECESSARY to include a short note in your payment stating:

1) The items you are paying for

2) Any upgrade or special instruction

3) Your name and correct full shipping address (If the information is different from your Paypal/ Bidpay account)

4) Your Telephone number for express post contact purpose (optional but important, in case you are not home when the item is delivered)

We will ship according to the address and your instructions on the payment ONLY. Other instructions by email or phone may not be accepted, since it is hard to verify if they are from the actual buyers. Thanks. ****

OK so its in the email confirmation you get back once you confirm to buy the item on ebay.

Cool. Didn't want to hit that submit button on the "Submit your purchase" screen which has no option to add it only to find that I couldn't specify it later.

They should really say that in the actual Ebay description, unless I'm blind and it does

Thanks

It's funny how they are still selling them on Ebay with no mention of the shipping delay. Their store shows 1,000 units available.

Yep,
I already own a Flip out TM-702L and it wold cool if there was some way of using the casing and flip out mechanism. I could then Flush mount the extracted TM-702L panel (and internals) into the boot install.

While I haven't actually got mine yet - it does look pretty hopeful... I got the email this morning saying it had been shipped, followed by an email this afternoon with my Royal Mail tracking number..

They do seem to have cocked up though and got my postcode wrong which means Royal Mail have put the package "on hold" (whether in the UK or not I'm not yet sure) until I can correct my address. Of course I've not been able to get hold of Royal Mail despite holding for 25 mins this afternoon!!

More as it happens... anyone else seen theirs in the UK yet?

Jon

Well, at least it sounds like yours (mikekniner) was defective from all the problems that you have had. I don't think there is any product that is 100% defect free, so as long as you can get a working replacement all should be well. I have a 56" Widescreen TV that I spent a few thousand on 6 years ago that turned out to be defective, got a replacement and everything has been fine since.

Finally, a tracking number (true number is changed here):

Extreme Audio Electronics (electronicar) Tracking Information

Hi,

The tracking number for your parcel is as follows:

EE 603403725 HK

You can track the delivery status of the parcel online at this link:

http://app1.hongkongpost.com/CGI/mt/...l_type=ems_out

If you do not receive your parcel within three days after seeing this information, please contact the delivery company in your country immediately to confirm your address and make arrangements for collecting it. Otherwise, in case of unsuccessful delivery, the parcel will be returned to Hong Kong shortly and you will be requested to pay for the reshipping charges then.
