Anyone know about the TVS HI-84 LCD Monitor?

I'm very interested in a touchscreen LCD, but the 7" Lilliput and Xenarc will be a bit too small. I don't need 16 by 9, the standard 4 by 3 is ok, but I do need at least 800 by 600.

I ran across a monitor by Taiwan Video System, Co, Ltd, called the HI-84Y12U (touchscreen) and the HI-84W12U (non-touchscreen). They are 8.4 inches and the specs look pretty good. Their web address is www.tvs.com.tw

Anybody know anything about these? Are they available in the US? At what cost? Etc. Etc. Thanks!

Let us know if you find a price,, That looks pretty sweet, I now have a 10.4" but would actually like something a little smaller.

i don't know if they're available, but specs of 8.4" are not too satisifiying:
Resolution - 800x600
Brightness - 230
Power: 18W

is it really worth it?

Hi, I'm new.
I read that earthlcd site, and it seems they have cheap screens but they are only 70-80cd/m^2 http://www.earthlcd.com/SK-1009T.htm
or they have brighter 300cd/m^2 screens but they cost a LOT.http://www.earthlcd.com/XLK5002.htm

Which screen do you recommend? I don't see any that can compete with that great hitachi from http://www.digitalww.com/VGA_TM_710VG.htm

I wouldn't buy an LCD from them unless it was cheap, but they have controllers fro just about every screen imaginable DigitalWW has some grat deals although I have not had any experience with them. I might have ordered from them but I can never get an answer back and can't get any one on the phone over there, Some one else want to chime in?
