Best way to clean an LCD??

I have the TM-701L and I havent gotten it installed yet. I just took off the plastic covering on the screen and it left some residue on the screen. What it the best way to get it off? Any good cleaners, or certain wash cloths to wipe it with that wont mess up the screen?

Thanks for any help!

I use just a soft paper towel and windex and works fine. Just make sure you spray the towel with windex and not the screen.

i wouldnt use a paper towel, it can actually scratch up the screen. Try a kleenex or equivilant.

So is windex ok, what about just using a damp kleenex?

Which exact one of those iKlears do you use? There were several different ones. Anyone know if they sell that at Wal-Mart, or an office supply store like Staples?

Thanks for the help guys....I dont want to screw it up before I even get to enjoy it.

I use a lint free cloth, one that supplied with an Eizo monitor in my old office. Works great on Digital camera LCD's, glasses, screens etc.

I'm all about microfiber and a LITTLE rubbing alcohol. I'm not sure about touchscreens, but it works great on my laptop screen.

Make sure you wash your microfiber cloth though. What you can't see can hurt you, and microfiber can get particle matter in it, and scratch the screen!

Don't use Paper towels or klenex, those are made of wood, which can be very abrasive. Use a lint free soft cloth!
