Apollo controller choice

I'm still pretty shaky on all this stuff, so go easy.

My question is regarding this page:
http://www.apollodisplays.com/mskit....64J-FW-P-AA-AR

I know you need a controller to use the screen. They offer an analog, pcbus and an embedded "solution".

The analog is the correct one, right? You'd just attach it to the back of the screen somehow and run a vga cable from it to your pc mainboard right?

I'm still learnin. I read this forum for hours last night. Learned some stuff.

thanks..
is $175 a lot for such a controller?

all these questions are kinda moot, consider the lilliput/hitachi screen that seems to be all the rage... but I'm still keeping my options open

These controllers are among the best I've seen. The OSD is fantastic.
