So did Digitalww get the lilliput screens shipped??
I was wondering. The screens were suppose to be shipped out on Friday. Can anyone confirm this? I pre-ordered my screen and was sent a auto-confirmation email and I have email and tried to call and left messages, but have not heard anything in return. Has anyone heard if they were shipped out?

I was wondering the same thing...A quote from Armen's email "I talked with the manufacturer on Monday and he assured me that I would have my monitors around Oct 8th or 9th. This is it, no more delays"
Today is the 14'th and no update from digitalww...So much for "no more dalays"

I might have to cancel my order and go with Dscustoms since he's going to be selling them for a hundred less.

I do understand that DScustoms is trying to break DIGITALWW market, which I do not believe is a good marketting strategy.
First DSCustoms was bad mouthing the product , then they are now selling it ... no I can never be comfortable with that
Personally, I would not like to go to DSCstoms as a matter of policy, however, customers who are loyal should not pay the penelty in terms of time and money.

That's life. Just most companies are not as open as DSCustoms. But if company 'A' is selling a product for '$x' and company 'B' is selling the exact same product for '$x - 25%' . I'd probably be looking at the second.

I have to agree. When I was trying to decide which to go with, Dave kept telling me I was getting an inferior product. Now he sells it as well and tries to pump it up. More money or not, I'll stick with Armen because of this.

Just spoke with Armen. He has a tracking number and should get his order Thur or Fri. He also has shipping labels ready and will be sending out orders as soon as he gets his, same day.
I also asked him about in-dash housings for the Lilliput. He needs to order more of those as well as verify the lilliputs fit. If so, he'll sell them for $90.

Wait a second, if those housings are $90 and the Lilliput is $300, then the combined package should be around $400 (including $10 for labor). Why are some of us paying $530 for the in-dash non-lilliput?

Gain monitors are more expensive and labor is not $10 . It takes me 2-3 hours to finish one DWW-7VGA.

Ah. Is there any advantage from your opinion of using a Gain over a Lilliput? Your screenshots seem to indicate the Lilliput is superior all around?

A couple of things
1. When I started the DWW-7VGA project I haven't found the Lilliput monitor yet.
2. Gain fits the in-dash enclosure better because
a) Both monitors are using the same LCD panel (Panasonic).
b) I only have to run 1 cable through the housing instead of 2 cables with Lilliput (actually 3, forgot the touchscreen). There isn't a lot of room in the housing when the monitor is closed.
c) The controller board from gain is smaller then the Lilliput and it fits much better.
I still want to try and improve DWW-7VGA so I might try using the Lilliput screen.
Armen
