I've mounted my Xenarc all over the car.. I've made a removeable mount where it can slide on and off.
Even tho it slides on and off and the cable never comes out of the screen, the connection on is damaged. The socket is starting to come away from the circuit board inside
Anyway, I was thinking of putting the screen somewhere where I don't have to move it all the time - I want it hidden when the cars parked - There are no space on the dash, unless I use this mount - it works well, but it'll be on show everywhere.
Has anyone mounted these screens in a SunVisor? It's the DS700YYV and the case looks pretty full so dunno how well it'll go into a sunvisor? Looks too thick to go in my standard visor anyway! Whats it like to use up there? Pretty easy or will it get in the way of me driving.. ? I know it can fold up, but I do like watching the map as I drive along!
I'd like it to be put somewhere and left, cus' I don't fancy seeing this plug socket fall off one day along with all the pins.
Only other option apart from Visors is like a dash build made from Fibreglass etc.. but I'd rather not do that.
