Portable screen???

Hey,

Am I being stoooooooopid, or can you use these as monitors too?

The reason I ask is because I was thinking that this way you can have a screen for the carputer, and when your done, take the thing in with you and no theif will ever suspect that you have a car-puter, hence won't necesarily go for your car.

Also, saves a lot of time and effort in not having to hack up your car for putting in that nice 7" vga or whatever it to your dash.

Please let me know if this is just crazy talk, and I won't mension it again! LOL

Peace,

The Rafster

P.S. Where could one get a car kit for this kind of thing, or should I just get an inverter?

well, i think that only the last one - http://www.savinglots.com/lotprod.asp?item=DVDL200 - can do the job (if "Video Terminal: S-Video In/Out 1 set" means what i think it does). the other ones just don't have input jacks.

to power them, inverters will do the job

It also seems to me that it's not the most cost effective monitor solution. If you are hooking this up to a carputer, why would you spend the extra dough on a built in dvd player in the monitor? That's what the carputer is for.
