Lilliput- Jurassic Park????

I saw this in another thread but with no luck after searching forever Im gonna repost.

When I turn on my screen everythig seems fine. Gets to the windows bootup screen and I get a faded white screen that says the "Jurassic Park" logo.

Also when I get into windows I loose my video. If I boot to VGA mode everything is fine, but if I change the resolution or the color, it looses video.

Anyone else experiencing these issues?

I have read many threads about this...try this:

What resolution are you trying to display on the monitor...start low..say 800x600. Also...ensure the monitor is NOT ON till you are at the desktop...I know, you won't know when you are the desktop if you can't see, just OVER estimate.

Good luck, I'm actually unpacking my lcd now!

I can goto safemode, I get "no signal" if its in anything other than vga mode. Ive tried many different resolutions/colors/refresh rates, I need one I know will work.

I also get "No signal" if I turn it on in any mode if I didnt boot up in VGA mode.

a good way to get your resolutions working is VNC. Mainly since you can still see the desktop in vnc if you screw up.

This makes me think this was a demo screen and was left on, for a long period of time, with a Jurassic Park DVD on and it burned the screen.

This was discussed in another thread. Have a look for it.

Also LCDs dont suffer from burn in effect.

By the way, have you tried lowering it to 60hz? Mine just worked totally out of the box, no problems at all!

Although it is much easier to use a Palm sytlus than your finger I find to control the mouse on the screen.

See this thread (Page 16 on).

http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/show...&page=16&pp=15

It explains the Jurrasic Park issue fairly well I believe. Seems that there are some screens (either from Lilliput or under Lilliput's name) that were ripped from Pachinko Machines. One link even has a pretty picture of the Jurrasic Park Pachinko Machine (perhaps page 15).

Seems that thread may have more updates regarding this. There is a member in contact with the supplier and it appears that they may be looking into followin up on this issue with the supplier.

Jurrasic Link = http://www.kyoraku.co.jp/products/jurassic/index.html
