Question DWW-7VGA installation

Just got my dww-7vga today, looks all fancy and everything.

Maybe I'm a little slow, but I don't know what all the wires are for. I've never had an lcd before, but there seem to be an aweful lot of wires.

I tried searching the forums, but didn't seem to get any good results.

No directions came in the box and nothing on the digitalww website.

Here's what I figure:

------------------------------------
long wire
------------------------------------
usb => touchscreen

vga cable => vga cable

rca 1 (yellow) => ? composite input 1

rca 2 (yellow) => ? composite input 2

rca 3 (white) =>

------------------------------------
short connector wires
------------------------------------
GND => ground

12V => 12 volt power

video 1 (yellow rca) => composite input 1

video 2 (red rca) => composite input 2

-------------------------------------
Questions:
-------------------------------------
wtf is rca 3 for???

How do I hook up the power???

Why are there two versions of vid1 and vid2?

I was gonna pm or email Armen for help, but I figure (hope) I'm not the only one confused.

Thanks in advance for any help!

First off, you shouldn't be worrying about wiring because it's already wired.

There are TWO video inputs and one VGA input. To get the dual Video in use the RED RCA cord on a video out. Strange eh? Think of the RED Cord (normally audio) as a dual video and audio cable. That is how you get the 2nd video in...there is no audio for the 2nd video channel. Hope this helps!

The power AC adapter goes on the side of the unit.

The two yellow RCA plugs are Video 1 and 2
The white RCA is Audio (xenarc monitor only) - it does nothing.

The other cable is used only for power.
Black - Ground
Red - +12V DC

The two RCA plugs (red V1 & white V2) on this cable do nothing.

In conclusion the only working plugs/wires are:
Black wire - Ground
Red wire - +12V DC
VGA Plug - VGA
USB plug - USB touch screen
Yellow RCA plug - Video 1
Yellow RCA plug - Video 2

Armen, have you tried plugging any devices into that usb port on the Lilliput screens...can it be used say for a keyboard? Or it only for the Video/Audio
USB plug?

Don't think of it as a USB port because it is not. The manufacturers just use the same (USB) plugs because of convenience, I guess. The only input this monitor will take is Video 1,Video 2, Audio and only through the included cable.

Thanks Armen

Thanks Armen,

That really cleared up my confusion. I guess my guesses were correct.

Now to get busy!
