Received my lilliput from the ebay guy !!!!
I had orderd the USB touchscreen on 10/23, got payment confirmation on the 24th saying it would be sent out and a tracking number would be given to me in the next 2 days. Well, as promised the 28th I got the tracking number and the 31st it was at my house.
I have to admit, thing is pretty sweet. I put in my truck on Saturday and been banging away on it over the weekend and I have to say I'm HAPPY !!! GREAT picture, Awesome size (really thin), really nice looking unit, Touchscreen's good (sometimes it's a little off, but then I re-cali it and it's fine), even the outside works, I've seen some posting say the 1cm outside doesn't work, mine does !!! I do have the problem though where I have to turn it off and back on again to see the desktop, but no biggie, I don't care.

I got my screen today too. Ordered on the 23rd as well. Great service.. Took them a few days to reply to my first email but after that, response time was pretty good (considering its honk kong with time zone changes and all)..
The screen is awesome. It has the htiachi panel. I didn't get the touchscreen one since i already have the 7" touchscreen kit from Armen. This thing is so damn bright. 1024x768 like a champ...
No jurassic park, no spooky vids.. Crystal clean.

I got mine a couple days ago. It is awesome, I had some generic piece of crap LCD before and I can't believe the difference in the quality. Anyways... I recommend this guy highly, great products, communication and fast as hell shipping, especially from hong kong!!

Got my monitors delivered yesterday. Will test them all today.
Did your monitors come shrink wrapped in plastic? The actual unit in the box?

Yep, my screen was shrink wrapped as well as most of the cabling.
Ray, did send an reply to me when I enquired about buying one from the UK ebay auction. It said they were getting a new batch of Touchscreen enabled ones in after Oct 22nd and to order then. So I did and it was with me within a week.
Installed the Touchscreen driver from supplied CD BEFORE connecting it up.
Not had one problem so far
OK apart from getting it to display a perfect image at 800x480. I can get it stable using Pstrip 3.37 at 60,72 and 85hz just not very clear as no matter how much I play around with the pstrip custom timings I can't get it pixel for pixel across the horizontal. What I mean is that in 800x600 each pixel in a piece of text can be seen to clearly take up one pixel horizontally on the screen. Using 800x480 I can see some smearing of the text. I.e some parts of the text are clear others are blurred. If I move the horizontal timing slightly (i.e shift the picture left/right 1 pixel) the blurred parts become clear and other text becomes blurred
BTW If you guys want to try I can supply the Pstrip settings I've used so far to get spot on images for 640x480@60hz, 800x600@60hz, 1024x768@60hz, 1280x768@85hz plus the best I've managed to get so far with 800x480@60,72&85hz.
If anyone can take the 800x480 setting and it looking pixel for pixel I'd be very grateful as afterall this SHOULD be the perfect resolution seeing as thats the native panel res

Are you guys using the asian adapters supplied with uk converters?
I have a few 12v dc adapters but none are as high as 1200ma amps like the original supplied with the monitors.

I'm using a 1200ma multivoltage (3,4.5,6,7.5,9 & 12v) UK mains adapter which I've had for quite a while
Comes in very handy for testing things as that's all main voltages covered
You can get a similar one here http://www.argos.co.uk/webapp/wcs/st...roductId=55226

Hey Heat,
I already have the touchkit as well, and was wondering if I could just slide it over these screens. Have you done that yet? If so, how much room in the casing is there? Did you have to shave any plastic or do anything funny? I wonder how the two touchscreens compare? I'm tempted to go ahead and order the touchscreen just to get it built in, but then again, I already know mine works... Also, if I get this new one, I'll be selling my old low-res monitor, and the installed touchscreen might bump up the price...

taytay: Have not played with the T/S yet. I'll let you know how it works out.
NJay: Can you supply the custom settings?? I still can't figure out how to do custom stuff in powerstrip.
I'm having lots of driver issues (the video CLE266 in win2k..) I might just go ahead and install XP..

Right this is gonna be a biggie
To set up custom resolutions using Powerstrip 3.37
1) Install it
2) From the tasktray select it, select "display profiles" and then "Configure"
3) On the right you will see a section for Refresh Rate. Under this is hopefully A buttom labeled Advanced Timing Options. If so proceed if not then your Video Card don't support them
4) Click on Advanced Timings Options and then on custom resolutions button.
5) Under there you will find resolutions for 800x480p [LCD] and 1280x768p [LCD]. Add them following the onscreen instructions. If it says to reboot do so but only after adding all the ones you wish to try.
6) You should hopefully have two new resolutions in your windows display slider bar and hence can be selected without the need for PowerStrip to even be running
7) Select one which should hopefully display an image on the lilliput and then hit the < button to auto focus the Lilliput screen. You might be lucky and they look spot on and crystal clear. However if not then here are the timings for each resolution (from powerstrip custom timings screen) that seem to work for me. The last two I have not got right yet.
I have comma separated them and put them into three lines for each res.
1st line Resolution and Approx refresh rate
2nd line Horizontal settings: Scan rate, Active, front porch, Sync Width, Back Porch, Total, Hsync
3rd line Vertical settings: Vsync, Refresh Rate, Active, Front Porch, Sync width, Back Porch, total
640x480@60hz
31.453,640,24,96,40,800,-
-,59.910,480,10,2,33,525
800x600@60hz
37.872,800,48,128,80,1056,+
+,60.306,600,1,4,23,628
1024x768@60hz
48.248,1024,32,136,152,1344,-
-,59.923,768,3,6,29,806
1280x768@83hz
66.902,1280,74,112,254,1720,+
+,83.419,768,0,3,31,802
800x480@72hz
37.784,800,79,24,153,1056,-
-,71.970,480,17,2,26,525
800x480@60hz
31.660,800,48,128,80,1056,-
-,60.306,480,10,2,33,525
Those of you who are observant may notice that the last one is most of the horizontal settings from 800x600@60hz and most of the vertical settings from 640x480@60hz. This should give perfect a image but it doesn't. Any techies out there know why

Right been doing some more fiddling and found that this seemed to give a better picture
848x480@76hz
37.872,848,19,88,101,1056,-
+,76.201,480,1,3,13,497
No idea why seeing as thats not the native res of the panel.
Can anyone else try the 800x480 and 848x480 res out and see which one works best for them.
At least this way we can build up a list of correctly formatted resolutions as these two are nigh on the right 16:9 ratio

Thanks a lot for the setting. I'll give them a try. I think the CLE266 should support the advanced timings, but for me its greyed out...
I have one more thing to try.
This is one sexy screen though.. crisp...
