10.4 LCD for Truck dash

Been lurking a bit and this newbie has learned quite a bit....but most of the LCD posts deal with th 7" models...I need something a little bigger and found this http://www.gnetcanada.com/productdet...ET_104VGATOUCH
Any feedback on this item? I have the $$ and the space...but need your expertise to guide me....I would like to add this to my planned purchases of an Opus psu and one of the Epia itx boards.
Any advice is appreciated.

The best screens I have seen, have a high NIT number and a easily adjustable brightness.

They are TFT, and VGA.

That particular one seems expensive, and a low Nit value.

Some kits...don't know if they are better, but are brighter.

At night a low nit (brightness) value is just fine.

However in the bright daylight, with the glare and you wearing sunglasses...you need a bright screen.

I had a 10.4 in my truck, a 97 chevy fullsize.
the going rate for 10.4's is $300-$400 on ebay if one shows up. Apparently, the one I had was only about 90 nits, and it was bright enough to see in the daytime if i strained a bit. its a good idea to get the largest screen possible if you have the real estate.

This may be what you are looking for. ALLBRITE LCD AB104PB-N-R HIGH BRIGHTNESS. ~1300 nits

This is the link to the seller on ebay that has it:
http://cgi6.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...sort=3&rows=50

I would check back every so often and try to get one. I got mine about three weeks ago for $52.00 + shipping. I believe the total was $70.

Here is a Link to the discussion on the controller and inverter for the backlights and how to hook it up:
