If I have the room can you think of any reason why I should not put it in my truck?
I have seen it at Sam's Club for $400 and change.

It's a Hummer, right? Or a tank, cuz I would have to rip out the passenger seat in my ride to be able to mount that bugger!!

Heh...no tank or hummer...Would be nice though...Theater on Wheels!
No, its a quadcab pickup. All the climate controls and my Alpine HU are centered in the dash and flanked by air vents and two DIN size slots that hold nothing.
The middle of the front bench is a fold down console to hold junk and is pretty useless...more or less its a huge armrest for my right arm when I drive. To replace it, I will make a custom console to house my carputer and maybe a game console for the rear passengers. It will also be prime spot to relocate the climate controls and my Alpine...leaving a huge blank in the middle of the dash.
I am in the planning stages and thought it would be nice to have a big screen. I'm not to keen on a touchscreen since the dash is kinda far for me to reach.

So far I have the following items purchased:
Zippy EL-610 keyboard
Delorme GPS and Street Atlas CDs
Linksys USB wireless G adapter.
Sony slot load DVD drive

Here's my audio installed so far:
Alpine CDA-9813
Alpine 5 Channel amp MRV-F450
Alpine Mono amp MRD-M300
Polk Audio/MOMO MM6 in the back doors
2X Polk/MOMO MM2104 10" subs under the rear bench
Polk/MOMO MMC690 6.5 components on the front doors
Alpine XMA T200 Tuner

I have yet to decide what MB to get and PSU.
Any suggestions since space and money are not an issue?

You lied. It's a tank.

If space isn't an issue, I would like to suggest a desktop microATX case with something like an MSI or ASUS combo board. Not huge, but not ultra micro either, which gives you some play with accessories and connections.
My ALEXIS is an MSI KM2M Combo board with AMD Athlon 1700, and 256mb of memory. This is the case I will probably use.

Just a thought...

Thanks Weez!....and its thoughts that count! Ya think an opus would suffice for power if I went with one of those boards running maybe an Audigy and an ATI ? If not, what other suggestions do you have?
Thanks for any input...!

Oooh... You just stepped right outta my yard bro. I haven't used one of those yet, and I'm not exactly sure what a rig like I suggested would require, but one tech's estimate at our store was about 200watts for all accessories and everything in the box. That should cover an Audigy nicely I think. I tend to trust our tech's thoughts, as he came to us out of the Army (or some branch of military), repairing the control and monitoring systems in nuclear missle silos.
This crap is cake to him!

In any case, I'm not sure if there's an Opus that will provide power for something like that.

Anybody else have an idea? I keep thinking inverter, but in this case, I think I should be given the finger, or at least corrected. I'm a little biased, having an inverter that works pretty nicely for me and all...

I have a 120 watt PS running a AMD2400xp, WD120gig 7200 rpm drive, Nvidia TI4600 video card, SBlive pci card, pci wireless 802.11g card, usb GPS, usb keyboard, usb external drive and the external DVD drive and usb2.0 - ide adapter.

Doesn't over heat, doesn't reboot on its own, runs just fine. I dont know how much more i would put on it but it is all running on a 120 watt PS.

Is this an Opus supply, or a microATX? If it's Opus, I'm all about that! I like small and efficient!
