Another PSOne Mod question. Looked but no answer!

I have already performed the PSOne LCD --> VGA mod successfully. Now I'm trying to do another mod! I have removed the screen from the original casing and I've placed it snuggly inside of a simple CD case without the plastic internal holder for the CD backing. The problem is, I had to disconnect the controller board from the screen to do this. I'm going to place the CD case with the screen inside of a slotted 1-DIN CD holder that sits below my headunit in my car. I would like to hide the controller board and everything else behind that holder out of view. At the moment, I can't find any of the translucent ribbon cable that connects the PSOne screen to the controller board. Does anyone know where I can buy a longer piece of this to extend it out further so I can finish my mod?

No idea on the ribbon cable.

Is your screen the Sony NTSC? if so can you tell me which wiring diagram you used?

Thanks,
Jason

Does anyone know of a site on the internet that talks about the Official Sony PSOne screen including the internal components? Similar to the pages regarding "The PS2 Revealed" type secenarios that show the device taken apart with all of the components shown. The reason I ask is because my original request may be misleading. I'm not sure that the component I'm wanting is considered a ribbon cable or a translucent film circuit board that connects the screen to the controller board. I just want to make or buy an extension for this cable so I can seperate the two halves and place the controller board deeper out of sight...

solder on yr own ribbon cable after chopping it in two... as for extending the ivnerter, not a good idea, the further away the ivnerter the dimmer the backlight.

those flat cables tend to be for short runs only, you'll probably run into signal integrity problems if you run that sort of cable for a long distance.. you'll probably have to solder in some cable yourself.
