Lilliput w/touchscreen=glare...not useable in bright sun?

Has anyone reached the conclusion that, when the Lilliput w/touchscreen is mounted on the dash, with no tilt toward the driver (ie directly parallel to the dash) that the glare of the mid-day sun reflecting off the passeger seat (tan/leather interior) makes the screen basically un-useable? It works fine when it's cloudy, or at night, but bright sun completely fades out my screen. I would assume that this is because the touchscreen overlay is so slick.

Your observations would be correct. One of the biggest things talked about this screen a while ago was how good the screen was in daylight. I was sadly disappointed when the glare hit the screen and washed out everything, and my windows are tinted! I think its the touchscreen overlay also thats causeing it.

Does the Xenarc have the same problem?

For the most part yes, but the glare was a lot brighter with the lillyput than the Xenarc/GAIN monitor.
