Problem with TV Out not recognizing LCD

I got a 7" car lcd screen with rca connectors and I'm using an ATI All-in-wonder pro TV out card, the ATI won't pick up the TV, I tried soldering resistors on to the wires (100 ohm 1 watt, couldnt find 75 ohm) but that didn't work either. Any advice???

Yeah, try TVTool at www.tvtool.com After dicking around with my setup I finally got color on my two LCDs, but it was a pain, even with TVtool. Your best, and easiest, bet is to get a Xenarc or Lilliput and go VGA. My Xenarc screen blows away the best picture I ever got on composite. If you gotz your screen already setup in you car though, try TVtool. I forget all the model/chipsets it'll work with, but they'll tell you on the site. Good luck.

Not sure how you tried to implament the resistor but they way it worked well for me was to get an RCA y cable and attatch one end of the y to the screen and the other I connected an old phonograph plug that I could bridge the reistor accross the leads coming from it. (Sorry if this doesn't paint a clear picture) This just simplifed things and I really didn't have to solder it all.

I'm not sure if tvtool will work for your ATI card, I thought it was just for NVIDIA, or at least that's how it was when I tried it.

The ATI drivers should have an option to enable the TV-Out although sometimes this can be greyed out if the screen is not detected (hence the resistor trick witch you already know about).

If this option is still greyed out after trying the resistor try attatching a TV or VCR that is detected by the card and setting the option then turn off the computer and retatch the screen you really want to use. Sometimes the setting will stay set for windows. Although you won't get a bootup screen and see what is going when the computer is starting it should work in windows.
