Almost all LCDs do. The cold cathode light that provides backlighting needs to warm up before it reaches full brightness. Incidentally, remember to let your unit warm up a bit before turning it on. Most cold cathodes have a "half life" of sorts. When fired up cold like that, it cuts their useful service life effectively in half in a very few uses.
