Glare reducing material over Lilliput touchscreen?/
I continue to fight the glare/reflection on my Lilliput touchscreen. Does anyone know of some sort of glare-reducing flexible plastic material I could put on top of the touchscreen. Obviously, it needs to be low-loss (let most of the light thru), and very flexible so that it doesn't mess up the touchscreen performance. I'm not sure if such a thing exists, but if we have any plastics experts out there, your comments would be welcome.

I know 3M makes film designed for this purpose - check this link . Problem is whether they sell the stuff to end-users. Please let us know if they do - I have the same glare problem on my Lilliput.

This is probably not what you want, but Walmart has this LimoDark stuff, for temporarily sticking to your window. I used to stick it on my display at night to cut the glare (my old dstn display)

Dodge,
Thanks for the lead. Did you use it to cut glare, or to reduce the brightness of your screen at nite? My glare problem is during the day.
Schua,
I looked at the 3M stuff. Very expensive and I can't find a retail outlet for it. I'm experimenting with some stick-on celophane-type material right now. I'll let you know how it goes.

SjLucky --- good idea. I think I'll look into this type of product. However, my guess it they are too stiff to let me use the touchscreen.
Superthug - most of my glare comes in thru the front windshield. Don't think I want to tint that.......

Maybe think about a polarising filter under the touchscreen, so that the touchscreen isn't affected by the glass....

Maybe a lame idea...
How about trying a piece of window tint film over the screen?

RX7....great idea, I've just been reluctant to pull apart my Lilly. But I may get desperate enough to do it.
Daz....I think the window tint stuff would only darken the image not reduce glare....not sure tho. May look into it.

The problem is that its the touchscreen membrane that is causing the glare. The screen itself doens't refect as much so putting the film between it and the touchscreen won't work very well.

NJ....ooooo, you're absolutely right!
I went to Office Depot and bought a "vertiable plethora" of various plastic sheet material (various colors, frosting, most for report binders). I chopped each of them into 155mm x 92mm pieces and mounted them on top of my touchscreen. Result: nothing worked very well. The were all too thick. They did a great job of getting rid of the glare, but they also got rid of about 50% of the image brightness. They also caused the image to be fuzzy, or frosted looking. I even tried a Belkin screen protector for the iPaq. It caused as much glare as the Lilly.
One of the better ones from the group was the Wilson Jones transparent dividers. It's still marginal, but the clear/white sheet from this pack helps.
Here are a cople of shots. Unfortunately, it's overcast here today so the glare is usually much worse. But this will give you and idea.

Njay is right. The touchscreen membrane is the culprit. What we need is a to put a circularly polarized film on TOP of the touchscreen membrane (with the same optical qualities as those used in 3M anti-glare film) but they're almost impossible to get off-the-shelf. I don't think automotive window tint film will work but its worth a try.
