why dont you do what i did? i bought a VGA extension cable and a USB 1.1 extension cable. just extend the touchscreen USB cable and the VGA cable! simple if you can't find that other cable. walmart has the cheapest USB extension cable and Circuit city has the cheapest VGA extension cable. good luck!
(this may also work for the usb plug that plugs into the side of the monitor for the video inputs. i havne't tried it yet but i will try it very soon!

Thats what I did too, and the output is just as good as before the lead was extended, but I must admit that my 1st thought was to extend the din connector end, until I found out that the plug/socket was not readily available.

Gone with enforcers route just ordered two solder yourself mini DIN male and femail connecters and 4 meters of shilded 9 core cable. Enforcer and I are UK and RS has this stuff, dont know if us does too.
Considered extending both serial and usb end but seems neater to extend just one cable and connections than two.
Cheers everyone...........

The reason I went this way, is because I had to feed the cables through some tiny spaces, and trying to run two cables, one with a relatively large connector, was going to be a real pain in the rear.

yea i understand that. i dont have much of a space restriction becuase i'll be running the cables under my center console between the seats and its easy to run cables of any size through there.

Hey I've run into some major issues w/ my lilliput. The standard cable must have broken a pin in the where the 9 pin din connects. Well needless to day I tried to fix that but was unable to... so what I did was hardwire the 9 pin VGA cable to the board. Here is the problem I now do not get any signal at all.. and when I do all it is, is a couple of lines at the top of the screen that are flickering. So my question is... did I mess something up bad? Anyways the only thing I can see is that there was one wire that didn't match... one was yellow and the other gray. But it seemed to be in the right place.... any help anybody can offer would be appreciated... especially an inside shot of your lilliput where the video cable connects!!! Thanks

Yes.
You hook up two wrong wires and you get bad output.
Also, isn't the touchscreen cable for the Lilliput a USB cable? Why not get a USB extension?
