Signal Degradation with trunk mount PC?

Hi All,

Couldn't find any mention of this via search, so I'm still curious:

Are people experiencing any signal degradation when mounting their PCs in the trunk when there is a VGA display in the front of the car? Are there special cables to get? other precautions? preferred cable routing? etc.

(I'm looking to do this type of setup with a Xenarc 700TSV touch screen).

Any insight is appreciated.

I'm using a 15ft cable I bought off ebay. Everything's working great, no interference, etc. On the other hand, i've had 6ft cables that don't cut it. Just make sure you get something with good shielding, etc, and you should be fine.

there really is no set max length for vga cable length. It all depends on a lot of things like refresh rate/ resolution and cable type.

I've run a vga cable around 30 feet with no noticable signal loss on a 1024x768 res. For the car just buy some good shielded cable and you should be fine
