Hmmm... cheap (7-8"?) touchscreen... anyone have any ideas how to rig it up?

Check this out.

The unit is 13" wide... judging by the picure that would make the touchscreen at least 7" diagonal. Anyone have any ideas on how to rig this up to a carputer? Reviews have said that the screen is pretty clear... would be perfect for an mp3 jukebox but dont know about DVDs, etc. It'd definately be sweet to be able to get a touchscreen for under $100... and a pretty large one at that.

Hmm... thinking about buying one and taking it appart... but does anyone think this will be possible? Will it still need a VGA controller like the laptop LCDs?

Just a thought, but I'll bet the screen is low res. For that price, that's all they could afford to put into it.

700mx6 is right, you would need a controller card for that to work with a PC. those cost about $300 last i checked

Well, the product did cost over $700 when it was new a few years back... the whole internet phone idea just never took off. If it needs the controller card though its definately not worth it
