Pictures of the guts of in-dash motorized anyone ?

Hey Guys

Does anyone have photos of the inner workings of in-dash motorized systems, doesn't matter which brand, just as long as its motorized. I am building a custom casing that includes tft monitor, so i really need some ideas on the mechanical part.

I was thinking of building a bustom housing too...although I'm not sure if i want to tackle a motorized housing.... let me know if you figure out an easy way to do it though!

Well, my thought was this : Slide rail for the monitor and then some sort of spiral with a bracket on it mounted to the sides of screen, then when it is pushed to the edge of the casing, a special hinge would push the whole screen upwards around the bottom top corner of the side. Pretty tough to explain without a scanner for my drawings on this. And i am no good in photoshop.

The spiral would also ensure that the depth of the case wouldn't have to be more than 1" or so deep than the screen, just enough to make the spiral push the screen into the upright position.

This drawing may or may not give you an idea...anyway i suck at drawing on the pc.
