Thanks for the quick tutorial, but my question still remains. Is the difference so great that I shouldn't purchase the Pioneer? If I am just using this for my MP3's and use 640 X 480 Res. would this be OK?

mp3 is fine. The text may be a little fuzzy. If you're not planning to use it as GPS with detail maps, typing your thesis, or surfing the web. I don't really see a problem with it.

One thing though. TV rez is 320, not 640. Although maybe this thing is Progressive Scan??? I don't know for sure.
