Newbie need help please..

I am a first time poster at this forum and I have been lurking around for a long time without registering and posting any question.

Have been thinking about building a Car computer for a very long time, I actually have programmed my own Linux interface to use in car pc but haven’t had the chance to try it out yet because I don’t have a car computer yet. (Have done the programming on my desktop computer)

<off topic> Not relegated to the question I am asking
The Linux interface is probably the same as the other car computer interface but this is built on Linux and that free so no need to pay Microsoft any money.
It has voice recognitions, (like skip to next song for mp3, play DVD, pause DVD next picture etc) and it uses mplayer as a backend) and you can of course easily learn the computer more voice commands if you want)
</off topic>

Enough about that: I just ordered this http://store.yahoo.com/ituner/carkit.html to start my project, adding wireless cards and all the other of course.

The problem is that I am just a poor student and the LCD screen is VERY expensive, so I was wondering if you guys could recommend me a cheap LCD screen 5-7 inch that have VGA input that would be perfect for a first timer like me.
Electronic isn’t my best side and therefore it has to have easy installation and stuff.

I can’t afford more then 150 or top 200 USD for the lcd screen so please help me guys.

Sorry about my bad English.

Regards

Welcome to the forums.

You've been reading for a long time and you still go out and get the PW70A and the ITPS... You obviously will never need to run the carputer with the engine off, and never need to start your engine with the carputer on If you do, then you will be VERY disappointed with the PW70A and ITPS.

For the screen, you want VGA (as you said), however really the cheapest is the Lilliput 7". These are about $300 from Ebay or other places (I can't provide links as I'm not in the US) That's probably about the cheapest you will get. Save for another 3-4 weeks and get a VGA TFT display, you won't be disappointed.
