What do I need to make this work?

Ok, I need to take one video input, from a carputer, and have it go to multiple LCD screens. I dont want the same image on every screen though, I sort of need to 'stretch' the resolution across all the screens, kind of like they do at places that sell lots of TV's. (Best buy, circuit city, etc.). Anyone know what I need?

Well, Best Buy and such would be displaying the same pic on all their TVs, right? Whatever, I think I know what you mean. You want something that can split the signal to create one big screen out of several smaller ones. Like this one.

sfay93: Yeah, it will most likely be VGA monitors.

eCar, thanks for the link. I am looking for something very similar to that i suppose. I am looking to display an image up and down across 4 to 5 7" lcd screens in my car. The screens will be directly underneth the AC vents and I will be displaying a waterfall across all of the screens.

The only thing I can think of is using 2 x 12" screens in portrait mode, stacked on top of each other.

i have seen a controller like that with a security angle i think the url was securityspy.com or something like that

they are known as a signal splitter, normally works with 4 or nine screens to build a video wall

why not mount a lcd projector on the roof of the car and just build a blank white screen under your hvac controls, I presume that the "waterfall" will just be used in static displays ?

I think you could get 4 screens stacked like that, if you had 2 dual head vid cards. One AGP and one PCI.

Hmm, good idea. I like this dual head thing. Going to look into this. Thanks.
