2.5 LCD Screen Controllers for XBox and PS2 - Now $20! HOT!

CompUSA.com has dropped the price for the Hip Interactive LCD Screen Controllers for both XBox and PlayStation 2 to only $20! This use to retail for $99.99, and recently dropped down to $29.99. Great deal if you need a screen to play in the dorm or in your room at night while everyone is sleeping.

UPDATE: Sold out online, but the deal should be valid in-store.

Curious....

How good of a picture would one get on something of this size? I mean, how visable could this be ...if say... it was mounted in front of the dash? (odd xbox + xbox media player idea....)

FYI (found this on another board, thanks to Rubikon)

Colors for Playstation version to Video...

Power 12V is orange
Power ground is green
Video + (composite) is yellow
Video - (composite) is brown

Right audio -- red
Left audio -- white
Ground audio -- black

They're all labeled on the circuit board as V+, V-, Rin, Lin, AG, 12V, GND

I don't suppose you're near enough that you'd like to grab me a couple would you...? Anyone in the Boston area? I work in Somerville but was home (nr NH) before I saw this. Only Brighton and Braintree have them now.

Chris.

hmm... what are you guys using these for? They seem pretty cool and I'd like to pick one up for the price just to mess around with... but I don't know where in the car to put this.

also could be used in conjunction with multiple lcds to make a guage cluster, this would in turn bring on hectic software delimmas and the sort.. but nonetheless a cool stupid idea :P

lol... similar to what I was just thinking... I'm going to put one in place of a digital clock that is in my gauge cluster for some unknown reason... just for the coolness factor.

Darn.. oh well, thanks for letting me know, saved me a wasted trip! There seem to be a lot appearing on eBay so they can still be had pretty cheap, I'll look forward to hearing how people get on then consider buying there.

Thanks again.
