question about an LCD and controller

i sold an lcd to my friend that i tried selling in the classifieds. he needs to know how to get it wired to work as a functional LCD. it came out of a laptop. i need some help with this.

heres the lcd that hes got now that he got from me:

this is desperate cuz this is a perfect size lcd for him. what does he need to get, and what does he need to do? thanks in advance

I hate to say this to you, but that LCD is pretty much useless. Laptops use proprietary controllers built into the motherboard. Every laptop is different too. I think EarthLcd sells custom controllers, but they're very expensive.
