mount LCD w/o housing - lilliput 619

has anyone mounted the lilliput 619 LCD w/o the case? ie taking the components out (they are smaller) and mounted them?

reason is.... i can mount the LCD dimensionally w/o modification... while the larger LCD chassis housing (bezel, etc) will require extensive modification.

just wondering the best way to fab up a mounting scheme and whether its even possible/safe/easy.

tia.
