I found 150k resistors, IN AN ASSORTED PACK OF 500!!! grr waste of money... heh
It just so happens that 150k resistors are the only ones that Radioshack doesnt carry in small packs of 5... What BS

I could arrange a group buy
Just use one that is close or connect two in series. This is not an excact science.

well i went to radio shack and no they didnt have the 150k resistors but he told me to get the 100k put two in parallel and one in series of those two...

Yes, that would do it... or take a 68k and an 82k in series. They are fairly common values.

Any value between 120K and 180K should work, maybe also 100K but not less, simply try it, and if you experience problem then use 150K

Thats what I was thinking too, but I though Ill leave coyote to say
But I seriously still think the 150K is far to high to act as a reliable pull up. Standard pull up are 10-47K. The original was 10K and jumping all the way to 150K may have some effect.
But if it work for you guys reliably then dont fix it

hmmm ... this thread is 4 pages long, always seems to be on the new post list, and everyone always talks about 'coyote's auto turnon solution' so i thought i should finally have a look
i just shorted out the power button but this is a much better solution ... guess i should have paid attention sooner
