Lilliput flickering/dimming/remote problem

OK, I just got my Lilliput 7" screen last night. I was testing it in the car today. After about 20-30 seconds of it being powered on, the screen will flicker and have lines across it. This happens for maybe a second. After that, the screen returns to normal, except its not nearly as bright as it was before. Also, it should be noted that remote control doesnt work at this point either. If I power off, and power on again, all is returned to normal. (Until it happens again in a few seconds).

I've searched the forum, and couldn't find anyone with this problem.

I have the same problem .... Searching didn't come up with any resolution. I am still trying to troubleshoot but seem like the voltage output from the eggshape regulator is fluctuated around 12.6-12.8V. The AC adapter output about 12.5V. When I tried the eggshape and it happens everytime doesn't matter if I connect it to a constant or switched power source. Then I used the AC adapter and it did not happen. Maybe I will try the DC-AC-DC invertor.... and using the AC adaptor.... Will see if that help.

Thats exactly what happens. Using the AC adapter is fine, but the DC-DC egg shaped adapter doesnt' work. I made a movie clip of what happens. You can see it here: http://www.chillaxing.com/photos/alb...i/MVI_2735.avi

Well that happened to me everytime, but sometime it keep scrambling up for good until i turn off and back on and a few seconds after, it happen like that. I tried to connect to a switched source, a constant source, through a relay and directly to battery and didn't do a damn thing.

I think the output voltage from the regulator is kinda high and fluctuating quite a bit (at least happened to me). I measured the regulator output voltage it jumps between 12.8 to 12.9V... Eventhough its less than 13V but the voltage fluctuate too much. I measured the input side and it is 14.4V with the car running and 13.4 with the car off (odd isn't it). The output on the AC adapter is at a constant 12.5V.

I bought the 20 bucks AC inverter and connected and the screen is solid ... So far never dim on me once. So i guess I keep the inverter for now.

I just wanted to give an update. I think this was a grounding issue for me. I ended up taking the screen apart and installing it in my dash. I haven't had the problem since. I'm still using the "egg" shaped inverter that it comes with.
