Display options

I would like to try and hook up a computer in my car. Problem is I am on a tight budget as well as I don't know if it would take the close to 120 degree temps here in the summer.

I have seen screens that are VGA for $200+ dollars but don't really want to have to spend that much. But I don't want it too look so bad that I can't even read it. Can I use a screen that has a S-video connection on it and if I can will it look decent. This is assuming that I have a video card with S-video out on it. Or is there some other method that I could use that will still look decent that I am overlooking.
