VGA cable length

well after much consideration I took the plunge and bought a 7" VGA touchscreen liliput, but now I'm wondering I'm going to have my computer in the trunk and the screen up front. where can I buy that long of a VGA cable, and can you run one that long? thanks!

this has been covered about 10 times at least. I've ran 25 foot cables with no problems. Just get good shielded cabled

At the radio station I work at, we routinely run VGA extensions of 100feet and more. The trick is to use a high quality cable, and as few of them as you can. It is better to run one 100' piece instead of a 50' and two 25' pieces together. Most everything availible at your local store (CompUSA, Fry's...etc...) will be okay if used one or two at a time. For anything longer I recommend shopping around at a store that specializes in cables like this. With the right equipment, VGA will look perfect over great distances.
