old problem that wont go away

hi, i have the shuttle fv25 mated to an lcd with rca style input. it has the black bars that frame my already small (5.6) screen, reducing it even further. i have had the whole setup ever since the fv25's became availiable, and just lived with the problem. i kind of want to get a touch screen kit, now, and i came across this website while searching. i have tried all the fixes described in searches of this board (BIOS updates, diff vid drivers, tvtool, power strip, etc) to no avail. what i do believe, is that the problem is not a windows prob, but a BIOS/hardware prob. it looks like when the comp is booting, the post screen is framed by the black bars - its hard to tell tho since the post screen is black. well i hope some body in mp3 land can help me, otherwise i may sell the fv25 and go with one of the newer epias.

I just ripped out of my car the exact same setup, after two years... and had the same problem the whole time..... It was livable, but all the suggestions I found didn't work....

My setup was the SV-25 with a 5.6" TFT screen.... I think you would be best to get rid of the FV-25.... it was a great board for these applications 2 years ago, but now it is not so great.... I went with the VIA M10000.... sweet little board, and with a Xenarc screen the VGA is perfect....
