I've read that the Lilliput comes with a pencil/pen thing for it. Is this required for its use (or can a driver use their fingers)?
What do you think?
Also, being inexperienced in such things, I'm still learning all the techinal jargon. What does VGA refer to / stand for?
Thanks.
Yeah, the pencil/pen thing is just a plastic point like you find with handheld PDA's. It's not a technical requirement. If you need careful pointing you can use any blunt plastic pointer such as a retracted ballpoint pen.
VGA (Video Graphics Array) is the standard that just about any personal computer you could find today uses for video display. In usage around here it means "Sharp enough to read text" compared to a television LCD monitor that's fuzzy and can't be connected directly to a computer without an interface called a scan converter.
The monitor on your desktop computer is a VGA monitor.VGA is what you want.
Tell us about the research project!
