Widescreed Display

I've just built and installed my computer but the display is obviously distorted. I'm only using onboard graphics, setting options 800x600 and 1024x768. I've just downloaded Mediaengine and haven't installed it yet. How can I make it so that films show in the right proportions?
Cheers

Most media players allow you to change the "zoom" on the screen. Find the setting to do this and set it to 16:9 or 4:3. Or just find which setting looks the best.

You might try MediaCar also. I prefer it to Mediaengine just for that reason. The zoom button switches it to, I think, 6-8 different settings.
