obviously, i can't speak for this particular one but i've had experience with some similar items in the past....i've installed several for school districts so instructors could use laptops to output presentations to regular tv's.....

i often found the images produced to be acceptable at best, and usually not quite that good....

of course, some of that would depend upon just what you were converting and to what you were outputting it to....

just my .02

Would not it be easier to say what are you connecting to what? Maybe that way you'll get more usefull responses.

I am going from my car pc (VGA OUT) to my navigation screen (which is RGBS). That connecter just seems odd...

Did you see a thread about PS One screens? Maybe that will help you.

Which nav screen is it? Factory OEM type? I'll be interested in seeing how this works out for you. I'm considering getting an Alpine HU with a screen that supposedly has an RGB input.

When we are talking a 7-13 inch LCD thats RGB with a converter to VGA. Its seriously going to be some horrible results. Meaning you can easily watch movies with out noticing much difference when compairing a standard TV set. However when you hit the desktop and attempt to navigate, Good Luck. I think unless its purpose is to be inexpensive and TV/dvd use only, then great. Otherwise its not worth time and effort to setup.

Are you speaking from experience with VGA to RGB conversion, or are you extrapolating based on VGA to composite experience? Completely different animal here. If you do have specific experience please tell us with what devices.
