Hey Steve, I bought the same 10.4" monitor you did, but for me it's unusable due to the narrow viewing angles. In order for it to look right you almost have to look up at it or else have the top angled back. In my Trans Am the screen is positioned straight up and down and is about gear shift level so I am looking slightly down at it. From this angle it looks really bad. I'm going to have to send it back and find another screen to use.
BTW, anything other than it's native 800x600 resolution looked really bad also. How is it yours looked good?
I see your car has the top of the screen angled back, so maybe that's why your viewing angles are OK.
This screens View Angle is U/D 75 L/R 100 Degrees
While the one in the post above has an even narrower View Angle U/D 85 L/R 85 Degrees.
Does anyone know of a truly wide angle 10.4"?
Considering that I have to have a LCD with a narrow frame around it and it needs to be 800x600 I think I can officially say I'm screwed.

Here's something funny. This looks like the same Lilliput screen here:
http://cgi.ebay.com/LILLIPUT-10-4-TO...QQcmdZViewItem
BUT, it shows a narrower viewing angle: 45/60(U/D),65/65(L/R)
I wonder if this is the true spec?

Steve, do you still have the box your screen came in? Was it a Model Number: FA1042-NP/C/T?

Hey bro, wow, I do still have the box. Yes, that's the model number for what I have as well. My viewing angles are fine. I don't know if it's just the way the car is built and the way my bezel is or what (it's really just facing straight out), but both driver and passengers can see it perfectly. The angle of the bezel vertically just goes with the natural slope/angle of the dash. Sorry it's not working for you :-\ I use mine at 800x600 for RoadRunner, but while setting up the new computer, I had it running at 1024x768 and it looked perfect.
Are you able to build the bezel to angle the top back without it looking strange or no?

I can see in this pic that your screen is a bit higher and the dash is angled back so you are kind of looking up at it or directly at it. I think this is right at the limit for that angle. You could slide down in the seat and it would still look fine, but if you lean over and look slighlty down it will get screwy looking.
Here is a pic of a TA with a home built, pieced together screen in the dash location. You can see that for it to look factory it can't be leaned back. In comparison to your car, this location causes you to look slightly down at the screen.
The left and right angles are fine as long as the vertical angle is OK, but when it's not, the left and right create an inverse looking image.
The link I put in post #53 shows the viewing angle: 45/60(U/D). Wouldn't this indicate that it is biased to look better more from the bottom angles and less from the top? I don't know if any of these specs are accurate. I suspect they sometimes fudge the truth to make the screens more appealing.

Ok, it is in the first post I thought it was rather obvious. Apologies if it was not.

Perhaps the site will come alive again later.

I don't know anything about these drivers, I was just doing some basic investigating and looking for mirror sites that might have them. It appears the whole website is down and I can't find any other sites. Sorry.
I would just give it some time. The site may be experiencing some temporary problems.
This is another link, but it's not working right now either:
http://list.driverguide.com/list/company2990/index.html
If you know the exact name for the driver your looking for you might be able to google it and find another source for it. It's not uncommon for people to put certain drivers on their own websites, you just have to find it.

Not sure if this will help for what you're looking for, but the main driver page for lilliput monitors is here:
http://www.lilliput.com.cn/eng/service.asp
/edit, it should be, because if you follow their product page for your monitor to the downloads it takes you to the same page.
Good luck. Cheers

One more thing... if you download the drivers from there, the file names are like "2005917135317.0" just rename it to "2005917135317.0.zip" and winrar will open it just fine (probably winzip too)

Thanks guys.
Unfortunately the driver there is not working (I think b/c com port conflict with GPS) Anyway I found this site here
http://cartft.com/support/drivers/TFT/tftdrivers/
I don't know if it will solve my problem, but they certainly have a cornucopia of drivers there. The one from egalaxy worked for me before and I thought it was saved somewhere, but apparently I lost it. (Although it could have been a fluke that it worked.)

what is the best way to connect a lilliput to a laptop with the seperate monitor settings? I have no idea whats going on. whenever I try to seperate the connection i get the same display as i do on my dell inspiron 5100. I was somehow able to get the lilli in 800 X 600 resolution, but the screen would move around. Can anyone help me?

It would have to be in a fully enclosed container, then there would be an issue of heat, the backlight can give off a lot of heat after being on for awhile. and if you don't get rid of that heat it will fail.
