does the "touch screen" feature have to be on the screen itself? I could enclose the screen inside the dash and vent it well, then have the touch screen on the outside of some plexi? Can the touch screen film (??) be exposed to direct water?

Here are the true viewing angles for the 10.4" Lilliput FA1042-NP/C/T based on my real world experience.
Note, this is contradictory to what the specs say as they rate it with a wider verticle viewing angle than it actually has. Hopefully this will save someone else time and money by not choosing the wrong screen for their application.

Eby 701
Can anyone help? I have the EBY 701 and I tried programming the auto power funtion that I saw somewhere in this thread. And when I input the "588998" code, the menu for languages come up.
And the screen would take no more inputs. After a few seconds the language menus disappears.
I have powered it off and on to see if there would be a miracle, but......NAH!
Someone help pls.

Due to the way touchscreens/pads work, if you get water on them they will not work until they dry out. If you are planning to get it wet then you are gonna need to use buttons instead.

DOes anyone know if any of the new Lilliputs offer rear cam support like the Xenarcs'??? In other words, if I wire the backup cam to the reverse light, will the monitor switch to AV1/2 ??? Please help as I searched a bit.

So there you have it. A HUGE screen at a decent price and works great. ;-)
I just purchased one of these and so far, I love it but, do you know how to make this thing auto power on? I've tried all the suggestions with the 588998 entry and so far, no luck accessing 'the other' menu.
Thanks in advance

I have the same monitor of W3bMa5t3r the 10.4.
I can help with that:
It need 0.82A (Tested it, never use more A), but I'm sure it need some other elettricity by USB. In stamby use 0.36A
my monitor don't work if is not plugged also with usb, I I think it use more corrent than usual becouse my compucar of 12v, don't give him enough through it.
It work only if I connect USB to an other computer.
Bye

Example cable: http://www.computerplug.com/cable_mo...s-ext-tech.htm
I purchased this type of cable however my lcd could not get a signal. looking at the LCD cables I noticed that they are 10 pin. Does that mean that one pin is not used or do i need to get a 10 pin min din cable?

I just received my 10.4" LCD and I see the unviewable angles. Mine does not work at 1024 x 768 @ 60Hz, so I am stuck to run it at 800 x 600. Any how, has anyone ever tried installing the LCD upside down, and through software/windows, rotate the screen 180* to get more viewing angle out of the screen? I do not know if this will effect graphic performance or not. Any thoughts?
