Running Apps in WinXP at 640x480 for 7" Lilliputs
For those that don't already know this, I just figured out that you can run Routis as well as any other application at 640x480 while still keeping the Windows XP desktop at any other resolution. Just right click on the executable, click Properties, Compatiblity, check Run in 640x480 screen resolution. This works very nice for Routis 2004 on a 7" Lilliput.

it's 800x480
most here seems ot use 800x600 or 848x480
very few got the native 800x480 (epia can't do it so you need an external card)

okay, lemme get this straight -
1. 800*480 is the native lilliput resolution.
2. epia boards can't do the 800*480 resolution, so you have to get an external card to do ____*____ resolution
3.a] most people here may use 800*600 [which means they have external card]
b.] most people here may use 848*480 [which also means they have external card]
4. and these externals cards are pci, right?
is all this right? help me understand...because i want to make a frontend, and i'm very picky about my pixels...i want an exact fit...
thanks!

#3a is incorrect.

I think most people here actually use PowerStrip to get custom resolutions, rather than having to by another video card.

3a is wrong because the EPIA board CAN do 800 x 600 and thus that's what many people use. There are other possibilities supported by the EPIA (640x480, 1024x768, 1280x1024, ... and many others). The EPIA board does not ddo the native Lilliput resolution (800x480). If you want to go native, then you need a different video card. If you want to know the details of this, do a search. It's been discussed MANY times.

I know this is a very old thread but I want to know if anyone can help me.
I set the screen resolution to 640x480 and it works great if I run the application by itself, but when I run it from within Frodplayer, the top right corner of the screen is no longer visible so I can't return to Frodoplayer. Any help?
Thanks.
