"industrial" lcds
Sorry if this has been touched on befor, but i was wanting to know if lcds like these : http://www.jenlogix.co.nz/products/lcd-kit01.htm
would be suitable for a car mp3 player.
I mean the specs look alright (not fantastic, but i'll live), and if they are not hideously expensive (which with my luck they will be) they will be better than futzing aorund with a psone screen. Its just for mp3's, i'll never watch any video.

You might want to try looking at this 6.4" lcd as well:

if you only want mp3s, do you need a fancy touch screen, or would you be happy with a large (4*40) character lcd screen? seems a bit of overkill to get a $300 screen for a basic PC?

Seems a bit much for what you get. . . . . I'd say stick with what's known and get a Lilliput. It'd be your best bet and would be as bright as these.

"Very Bright 300 NITS" probably with the touchscreen. Still not worth the price IMO.
