Anti-Glare solution found?

i came across this when trying to find a solution for glare:

Anti-Reflective Anti-Glare Film for Flat Panel Displays
Flat panel displays, touch screen interfaces, electroluminescent lamps and lenses for mobile phones and PDAs could all benefit from a new moth-inspired film that eliminates the usual problems of iridescence and light flare.

The Autoflex MARAG (MothEye Anti-Reflective Anti-Glare) film was developed by UK manufacturers Autoflex and the Fraunholer Institute for Solar Energy, Germany, taking their cue from the compound nanostructures found in the eyes of moths. These structures collect as much light as possible without reflection, to prevent detection by night-time predators.

This is the first film of its kind to combine both anti-reflective and anti-glare properties, and has a hard coat finish that is resistant to scratches and fingerprints. It reflects less than 1% of visible light and has an exceptional level of optical clarity.

this is the product:

any thoughts?

Thumbs up Ummmmm, I have the same concern.

I bought a Lilliput and love it. I made an indash holder for it but also made it removable. The problem is it reflects the light in my eyes from the passengers shirt. I get a horrible glare and am very interested in a solution. If you find one please let me know. I checked out this site, looks awesome, don't have a price though and no places in US can be found, at least by

Guys, i live in chicago, IL and the main office is very close to my house. I called and spoke with their tech department and they mainly deal with bulk sales with a minimum order of 100 sheets but they said they can send me sample films that are 12" X 15". They have 3 different thicknesses and she said she will send me all 3 to test out. This sounds very promising. I will keep you posted..

Hmm, 12x15, that's big enough for my 7" LCD, maybe if I call my local they will send me samples

Talking

i just emailed them also in hopes I can get a few samples, but using my job email.

luckly, these samples (if i get them) will come in handy for work and my carPC: I am part of a work project in using a Compaq TC1100 Tablet PC at work and building my carPC with a 7" in-dash lilliput with and old laptop as the CPU. I work as a professional purchasing agent with my work's IS department, who does $7 million in spend through me

i get massive sunglare with the Tablet outside; and some glare on the liliput:

and when the sun is setting:

I have only had this setup in the car as of yesterday, so still working out the software stuff :-)

It looks nice. I'm doing mine for my senior project at college. The catch is that I make an interface and a controller board to do things like access my windows, windshield wipers, headlights and etc. I have a horrible time with glare on top of the fact that I drive a convertible. Talk about bad glare. Its not so bad if no one sits in the passenger seat, but as soon as they do it glares. Those things would be awesome, let me know if you get an idea of a price.
