Does the Belkin omniview extender solve the epia 3.3v sync prob?

I think I worked out why my Dr-Berghaus controller doesn't work with my Epia (waiting for Kontron Germany to confirm).

The screen fires up, and shows the bios, but almost immediatly goes to standby after the bios.

The Epia works fine with the old standard monitor.

Need to know wether the Belkin extender works as a sync voltage booster as other suggested, as I don't want to go soldering onto the Berghaus borad incase I have to return it for refund. but I don't want to buy a Belkin extended and be stuck with it, if it doesn't work as a sync voltage booster either.
