Lilliput screen flash
Today I was driving, and then my screen went blank and the lilliput said "No Signal". I knew it was because my video card had fallen out again due to the road vibrations and the subwoofers, so I pulled over to push it back in. When I started the computer again, and went into windows, the screen was all messed up. It keeps flashing and the screen is way off alignment. It'll flash on for about a half second, then the screen goes black for 2-5 seconds, and flashes again. This problem happend once before. If I hook a CRT monitor to the computer, it seems to work ok, but the only way I could get the lilliput to work is by reinstalling windows, which I don't like to do.
The screen works fine up until it gets to my windows desktop. Even the windows loading screen works. Is there a way to fix this without reinstalling windows?

Uninstall your video drivers and see if it will run in VGA mode with a low color quality (or boot into Safe Mode). If it does just reinstall the video drivers, I can't imagine that you would have to reload windows.

I was thinking the same thing. Was a little difficult to get into safe mode because I have a USB keyboard and I had to get a PS/2 keyboard.
Uninstalling the video adapters, then booting into normal windows and letting it figure out the drivers seemed to fix it. Thanks.

mine does this when I resume from standby! Flashes on and off probably once a second, and TS stops working. Sometime it will stop ifl I exit RR, then its ok Othertimes it still does it after a reboot but then...
I also get switched from 800x480x32bit to 640x480x256 everytime I reboot
Anyone got any ideas.

Right folks, its nothing to do with the PC, its the Lilli...
If I remove the power lead, when I re-insert it the screen image is shifted about 400pixels to the right, and the right of the image appears on the left... It also flashes on and off about once a second.
If RR is running, closing it stops the flashing. If Im on Desktop with nothing running it stops after about 3seconds. Or turning it off and on with remote stops it!
Funny thing is though it doesn't do it when the power is dropped for cranking!
I've tried it with two different power sources with no joy...
Anyone shed any light on this

What an old *** thread. Have you checked the internal cables inside the Lilliput? Sounds like it could be a loose cable.

A lose cable that has a software dependant hardware fault
I thought it's something to do with the Lilli's power supply.
It runs superbly once on, for well over an hour, but as soon as I unplug power and then plug it back in starts chucking the picture all over and flashing on and off.
Closing RR stops it !
Rebooting stops it !
But when I reboot I lose my screen res.

How old is it? Does it do the same thing with other computers?

Its about 12months old but has only been in use properly for about a week, and before that had occasional testing use in the house.
Its now fabbed into my dash (In a removabe panel, I did that about 2months ago). Going to try my invertor on its AC power pack to see if its a problem with the 12v stuff in my car.

Right folks, I got one for yer...
If I leave RR showing my OBD software (Nissan Datascan v1.4) on the gauges page, and then pull the IGN key out, it suspsends and resumes perfectly. If I am on any other screen in any other skin it flashes as mentioned above
Never come across a windows problem like this little fella
