Smile Oh Why is there NO indash VGA touchscreen?

Love my Liliput vga touchscreen, but it would be amazing if someone released a darn indash *VGA* *TOUCHSCREEN* model. All the VGA indash ones (only a few) have no touchscreen).

That Liliput mod is beyond my skills though, maybe digitalww should start selling them assembled!

there is no market for an indash vga touchscreen. your gonna need tens of thousands of consumers before a product is worth the time, effort and money required for production... that is why we customize

Smile Interseting

Interesting, but that thing doesn't exist and what a waste with the DVD player. Since it has VGA in, you would use the DVD rom on your "carputer". So increased cost for nothing.

We'll see if this unit appears and at what price.

If you already have the lilliput I can do the conversion for you. $90 for the housing and $60 for the install - $150 total. Also I will be selling these assembled as well - $450. I just got new Lilliputs in stock this mourning so I am just waiting for the in-dash housing to arrive by the end of the week.

Also I've been selling DWW-7VGA for some time now. It has VGA inputs as well as touch screen.

Hi

But it is out of stock How does it compare to the Liliput in terms of "ease of reading small text"...you can read some pretty darn small text on the Liliput

Anyone own one of these DWW-7VGA?

DWW-7VGA uses Xenarc/Gain monitor. It is just like the lilliput but a little dimmer (250 nits).

I am using the lilliput in these current indashes because they are a little brighter and cheaper.

I got one from Armen. He fit a 400 nits panel with touch screen. I have not had much use out of it (part of a larger involved project ) but the things I've tested sofar look pretty good.

Because in dash ones are a pain to fit (i mean it) and never quite sit right. It either overlaps something or stays out of place.

And well there are in dash touchscreens. pioneer, clarion etc audio systems have them. Though hardly useful for a computer.

Does the housing come with mounting screws/holes? Is it an easy install into a din slot?
